BREAKING Mbappe ruled out of World Cup

France superstar Kylian Mbappe will miss the 2026 World Cup with a knee injury suffered in training today.

Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick in France's final defeat to Argentina four years ago, has suffered an ACL tear which will rule him out for at least nine months.

Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps has called up Marcus Thuram of Juventus to replace his captain.

As one of football's bona fide superstars, Mbappe's absence is not only a huge blow to France but also the tournament itself.

France have been eased in the outright betting as a result of Mbappe's injury blow.

The 1998 and 2018 winners begin their campaign against Senegal at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on June 16th.
